Mason & Nikki’s wedding at the beautiful Saureel Vineyards was a perfect reminder that even a rainy day can turn into something truly magical. Rain fell throughout the morning, setting a cozy, romantic tone as Nikki shared an emotional first look with her father, surrounded by close friends and family offering love and support. The day felt intimate and heartfelt, filled with quiet moments of connection and anticipation.
Mason, a big-hearted and loving presence, brought constant comfort and laughter to Nikki, and the way they leaned into each other all day was incredibly moving. Just in time, the rain paused for their ceremony and grand entrance, creating a sense that the day was unfolding exactly as it was meant to. Guests celebrated with joy and relief as the clouds began to part.
As the evening arrived, the sky transformed into a stunning purple sunset, setting the stage for Mason & Nikki’s first dance—an unforgettable moment framed by soft light and lingering clouds. I also had the chance to photograph portions of their day on film using a Canon AE-1 with Portra 160, and I couldn’t be happier with the timeless, romantic look it added to their story. This wedding was emotional, joyful, and beautifully imperfect in the best way.
